Three different types of nozzles were used during the tests: cone type nozzle, slotted nozzle and injecting nozzle. Tests showed that the side airflow adversely affects the quality of the sprayer operation, because the downwind increases the spread (drift) of droplets. It was defined that the area remote from the nozzles of wind direction from 0.5 m 10 2 m, at the 30% and from 2 m to 4 m - about 7% of all droplets, when the airflow speed is 8.2 ms¯¹. Injecting nozzles for liquid spraying are less sensitive to the influence of side airflow than the slotted nozzles. Using the injecting nozzles the amount of the drifted droplets can be reduced by about 30%Vytauto Didžiojo universitetasŽemės ūkio akademij
