The empirical evidence of decreased urban tree health condition has been steadily accruing. The sooty mold prevalence on urban tree was assessed during period of 2009-2014 in different greeneries of Kaunas and Vilnius. Together with pathogens which injured urban woody plants, the prevalence of saprotrophic fungi, e.g. the fungal disease agents of sooty mold was estimated in street protective and recreational greeneries. These fungi were detected on 16 species belonging to 13 genus.
