The Bayes' theorem is applied for reliability parameters estimation, control and testing alternatives investigation. The method how to control the reliability parameters considering data uncertainty and testing of safety important system is also considered. The practical methodologies are described in order to show how to apply methods and models based on Bayesian approach, to calculate the updated failure rate and to specify and control test time or inspections required to keep an acceptable system failure rate or mean time before failure (MTBF) at a given uncertainty level, i.e. confidence level.
