Doubled haploids (DH) of spring rape (Brassica napus L.) were obtained utilizing isolated microspore culture. Doubled haploids generated from microspores of F-1 hybrid plants exhibit a recombination of the parental genotypes in a gametic array ranging in a normal distribution. In this study morphometric and qualitative traits have been compared among DH lines, their donor plants and parent ones. The results of morphometric and qualitative comparison showed that all DH lines of group 268 produced more productive branches of the 1 st row than the donor plants, DH 711-05 in particular.
