Critical dimensions in painting of the 1970s.: the body in Kostas Dereškevičius work

The article analyses paintings representing woman created by the painter Kostas Dereškevičius in the 1970s. The features characteristic to the representation of woman and the body in the artist's works are interpreted in terms of psychoanalysis and social art history in the attempt to reveal the meanings of these works in the context of late socialism.
