Yield and fruit productivity of introduced apple cultivars

Seven cultivars of apple (Malus domestica) were studied at the Institute of Horticulture, LAMMC in2016-2017. Trees were grafted on M.9 rootstock at a spacing of 4 x 1 m. The study aims was to evaluate appleyield and fruit quality (appearance, taste and overall rating in 5 score system). Investigations showed, that ‘Venjaminovskoje’, ‘Afrodite’ and ‘Strojevskoje’ grown up highestcumulative apple yield. In five scores system most appearance ‘Rubimeg’ cultivar. Flavor characteristics andoverall appreciation best rated ‘Alva’ and ‘Rubimeg’ apple cultivars. ‘Venjaminovskoje’, ‘Alva’ and‘Rubimeg’ were the best ones among the tested cultivarsVytauto Didžiojo universitetasŽemės ūkio akademij
