Trends and prospects of the development of the Lithuanian economy under the influence of the global crisis

The article contains an analysis and assessment of the current macroeconomic situation in Lithuania and the trends and prospects of its development in conjunction with the integration with the European Union. As a basis for comparison there has been adopted a broad set of statistical indicators characterizing, first of all, the level and rate of growth of the national economy. The text consists of three parts. The first one presents the main factors and the dynamics of economic development taking into account the effects of the recent global financial crisis. In this connection, the second section discusses the changes in the international economic relations of Lithuania, especially in foreign trade.
