Ifluence of herbicide on winter wheat grain yield and quality indicators

According to FAO wheat ranks as a second after maize in the world cereal output. The yield is influenced by many factors, however, weeds are one of the most important because they together with agricultural plants compete for sunlight, water and nutrients. The aim of the study was to determine how different herbicide mixtures applied for winter wheat protection (Granstar PREEMIA 50SX 0.015 kg ha-1+Primus XL 0.75 l ha-1+50EC Axial 0.6 l ha-1; Tombo 0.2 kg ha-1+Dassoil 0.5 l ha-1; Monitor 0.026 kg ha-1+Granstar 0.020 kg ha-1+Grodyl 0.020 kg ha-1) influenced grain quality indicators. The results showed that grain yield, thousand grain weight and germination energy substantially increased due to application of herbicide mixtures.
