This work presents the influence of different plant growth regulators on Miscanthus x giganteus Greef et Deuter callus induction in vitro. Research was carried out in 2015–2016 in the JRC laboratory of Agrobiotechnology, Institute of Biology and plant biotechnology of Aleksandras Stulginskis university. Method of the work – isolated root explants were sterilized and grown on MS nutrient medium without and with different quantities of selected growth regulators – IBA, 2.4-D and 2iP. MS medium was supplemented with 10 g l-1 sucrose and 8 g l-1 Difco Bacto-agar. The media pH was 5.8.
