Biogas production in Lithuania is a potential business supplementing agricultural activities that might be developed using the following organizational forms: 1) by efforts of single farm, constructing there a biogas power plant for recycling of waste generated during the manufacturing processes to gases and using them to heat existing buildings; 2) supplementing a set of farming activities of a farmer with biogas business and selling extracted electricity on the market; 3) not only supplementing a set of farming activities of the farmer with the biogas business, but also occupying the market of the waste formed on surrounding farms; 4) recycling of waste from certain areas of farms and concentrating the biogas production in one company, which operates based on private business; 5) by concentrating the recycling of the waste from certain areas of farm and biogas production in one company, belonging to farmers and other agricultural entities on the basis of cooperationVytauto Didžiojo universitetasŽemės ūkio akademij
