The object of this study was to evaluate allelopathic impact of dominant species (Calamagrostis epigeios, Rubus idaeus and Chamaerion angustifolium) of clear-cuttings of pine forests (Vaccinio - myrtillo Pinetum) on germination. Aqueous extracts of roots and shoots were produced and assayed at different growth stages. Additionally total concentration of phenols was evaluated photo spectrometrically. Shoot extracts stronger inhibited germination than those of roots of all tested plant species. The strongest suppressive effect on germination and the highest phenols content was estimated at species flowering stage as compared with growth stages in spring and autumn.
