Utilization of electric field for improve the quality of crucial family seeds

Numerio antraštė: Development of agricultural technologies and technical means in ecological and energetic aspects : 14-15 September 2006The paper presents data about the special cleaning, sorting and stimulating germination of crucial family seeds (rape, radish, cabbage). The seeds preparing machines used the electric field can to separate seeds according to the unit of mechanical and electrical features and improve his germination. For research we used the conveyer type electric separator with corona discharge field. During the research it was establishes that: the cleaning of the weed seeds could be fulfilled in conveyer type electric separator with the belt of the shaggy texture fabric; by the sorting of non conditional seeds of crucial family it is possible to get 60-80 % of seed corresponding the requirements of the standard; corona discharge field has positive influence on germination dynamics of treated seeds; density function of the seeds treated with corona discharge field is described by lognormal distribution and that of untreated seeds – by normal distributionVytauto Didžiojo universitetasŽemės ūkio akademij
