Large pine weevil (Hylobius abietis) - is 7-4 mm long dark brown beetle. Feeds of young pine, also of fir or larch saplings bark. These pests are caught in fresh cutting sites in pitfall traps which contain pheromone or fresh pine Ø8-10 x 10-15cm size pieces. Studdy began in may 15 till august 19 day. 22500 insects were cought and 19960 of them were Hylobius abietis. Biggest amount of Hylobius abietis was cought in Druskininkai state forest enterprise - 13457 bugs. Besides Hylobius abietis other three most common insects were Agonum sexpunctatum – captured 571 times., Staphylinus erythropterus – captured 445 times, andCarabus arcensis – captured 422 times.
