Companies across different industrial sectors collaborate with universities in order to secure a knowledge advantage and benefit from technology transfer opportunities. This subject has been studied widely yet there is very little coverage of how to develop knowledge management strategies in this context. Following a literature review a knowledge management framework will be developed that includes the generation, capture, communication and application of knowledge.
