Arterial grafts, vein grafts, homograft and even though artificial grafts that were used in experimental studies were used in the progression of coronary artery bypass surgery. The factors that effect the choise of the grafs are the age of patient, medical history, to which coronary artery was decided to bypass, availability of graft thought to be used and at the end the preference of the surgeon. The most used graft for myocardial revascularization is internal thoracic artery whose usage is a gold standard. When long term angiografic high patency rates and a lower morbidity and mortality were considered the arterial grafts were the first choise.
