Background: Bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) is a chronic lung disease that causes significant morbidity and mortality in premature infants. Inflammation and oxidative injury play an important role in the pathogenesis of BPD. Resveratrol is an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent.
