Objective: Fibrinolytic therapy remains a legitimate option for many patients presenting with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Shorter time- to- treatment for patients with STEMI administered fibrinolytic therapy has repeatedly been shown to reduce mortality.
