In this study, an elastic-plastic stress analysis is carried out on a steel fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite disc under uniform thermal distribution. The composite disc is reinforced by steel fibers curvilinearly. Its mechanical properties are obtained by strain gauges and Instron test machine. The modulus of elasticity in the tangential direction is measured by fitting a solid disc to the composite disc, exactly. However, other material properties are found approximately. The material is assumed to be non work hardening. Stresses are determined for uniform temperature distribution.
