International audienceScreens are becoming the most important media for information systems in vehicles. They enabled a wide variety of new services such as navigation systems, driver assistance or entertainment. They also are increasingly replacing the analog instrument clusters used to display classic vehicle information. The design of user interfaces for such targets involves some usual requirements like rapid prototyping and interoperability. As these user interfaces present information that may directly influence the driver’s behavior, they shall also be handled as safety-critical software.
