This dissertation presents an analytical solution for the transient three-dimensional advection-diffusion equation in order to simulate pollutant dispersion in the atmosphere. Therefore, the advection-diffusion equation is solved by combination of Laplace's transform and GILTT technique (Generalized Integral Laplace Transform Technique) with Fickian closure of turbulence. For model validation, numerical and statistical results are compared with experimental results from literature (Copenhagen and Kinkaid).
