The main characters of Bom-Crioulo: The Black Man and the Cabin Boy (1895) by Adolfo Caminha, The 41: A Socio-Critical Novel (1906) by Eduardo Castrejón, Pasión y muerte del Cura Deusto (1924) by Augusto D'Halmar, El ángel de Sodoma (1927) by Alfonso Hernández-Catá, and Hombres sin mujer (1938) by Carlos Montenegro bear in their bodies the brands of a transgression intolerable for the hegemonic powers that try to rule alterities.
