Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) is a commonly used imaging technique in radiation therapy. Images are acquired prior to radiation therapy treatment to assess changes in patient anatomy and correct any errors in patient positioning. CBCT is an x-ray modality and its use for imaging includes a dose to the patient. This study aims to calculate the dose of ionizing radiation received during conebeam computed tomography (CBCT) imaging. Monte Carlo (MC) methods were used to perform these dose calculations.
