ANALISIS KEBUTUHAN DAN KETERSEDIAAN ANGKUTAN UMUM PENUMPANG ANTAR KOTA DI BATU (STUDI KASUS : TRAYEK BATU - NGANTANG - KASEMBON)

This study applied the counting method based on the Decree of Directorate General of Land Transportation Number: SK.687/AJ.206/DRDJ/2002 About Technical Guidelines for Maintenance of Public Transport in Urban Areas on Fixed and Regular Routes. The result on the performance and the needs of public transportation in Batu showed that Load Factor AUP BNK route is about 82.64%, but the standard of Directorate General of Land Transportation is 70% so that the service of AUP BNK route is in good condition. The frequency of AUP BNK route of its averages to two-way and headway are 8.43 vehicles/hour and 7.82 minutes, the frequency and headway AUP BNK route is in poor condition. It means that the passenger’s waiting time is more than 5 minutes. The average speed to two-way of AUP BNK route is 21.73 km/hour in 2.78 minutes/km, which means its speed is acceptable due to the mileage of ±25 km. The needs of transportation are 42 of the total 48 units. The productivity of AUP BNK route is 38.98 or 1886 passengers/day. The estimation based on the average passenger is 9 passengers/day-vehicle. The average trip is 5 trips/day-vehicle in ±1 hour routes to Batu – Ngantang – Kasembon and vice versa. So that 6 vehicles are operated in rush time to avoid the overload
