PENGELOLAAN AIR LIMBAH DOMESTIK SEBAGAI UPAYA MENINGKATKAN PELESTARIAN LINGKUNGAN HIDUP MASYARAKAT (STUDY DI RT 3 RW 7 KELURAHAN TLOGOMAS)

This research is motivated by the condition of the management of domestic wastewater that has not been maximized resulting in a decrease in the quality of the environment and the degree of public health. Namely, from 195 households in RW 16 which coincided with the construction site of the Communal WWTP, there were 166 families who used the pit latrine which drains into the well without being equipped with recharge such as environmental septic tanks. This has an impact on the spread of disease and pollution of the environment. To answer the problem, the government reactively made Malang City's Election Policy Number 2 of 2017 concerning Domestic Wastewater Management. As for the purpose in this study to find out how the management of Domestic Wastewater in RT 3 RW 7 of Tlogomas Village to improve Community Environmental Conservation. This study used a qualitative descriptive method to provide an overview of Domestic Wastewater Management in RT 3 RW 7. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. This research uses the theory of resource management and environment which will answer the indicators of the contents of the policy. The results of the study are a change in the mindset of the community to be able to independently plan, carry out and evaluate, which can prevent environmental pollution because the quality of underground water becomes healthy so that it can enhance the conservation of the community environment. Communal WWTP which is built in RT 3 RW 7, namely 1 IPAL, which can accommodate 500 households or equivalent to 10% of the total number of households in RT 3 RW 7 totaling 50 households and 150 home connections (SR) From the research, it can be concluded that the Communal WWTP has been evenly used by the community. In addition, it is necessary to pay more attention to the community, namely to increase the capacity of human resources to increase innovation so that Domestic Wastewater Management can provide benefits in terms of the economy, and the compliance and capture of the implementers must be increased by committing to implement according to what has been determined
