International audienceAs in the first part of this work thirteen alloys belonging to the Fe-30Cr-xC (in wt.%) with x varying from 0 to 5% by steps of 0.2 or 0.5%C were elaborated by fusion and solidification under inert atmosphere. Their microstructures were examined using a SEM and by measuring their carbides surface fractions. Their Vickers macro-hardness were measured and plotted versus the carbon content and versus the carbides surface fraction. There is a eutectic carbon content, 3wt.%C, under which the alloys contain Cr23C6 carbides while the hyper-eutectic alloys display eutectic carbides and coarse pro-eutectic carbides, which are all Cr7C3.
