CONTRIBUIÇÕES DO USO DO SOFTWARE GEOGEBRA NA ASSIMILAÇÃO DOS CONCEITOS DE ÁREAS DE FIGURAS PLANAS E NO CÁLCULO DA PROBABILIDADE GEOMÉTRICA

International audienceThe relationship between informatics and mathematics education, according to Borba and Penteado (2003) should be thought of as transforming the educational practice itself. In this way the insertion of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the school context points to a new educational scenario. In this context, we present, in this work, the results of the application of GeoGebra software in the teaching of Mathematics in Basic Education. The experiment was carried out through a workshop with 25 students from a private school in the interior of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The purpose of the workshop was to reinforce the properties and the calculation of areas of some flat figures and to develop knowledge of Geometric Probability. It was evidenced, in this work, that the activity with the software GeoGebra contributed to the students to reinforce the properties of the flat figures, as well as the calculation of the area of the same ones. As a consequence, this contributed to the development of the learning of the concept of Geometric Probability, since this depends, in part, on the 2learning of Flat Geometry for its comprehension. In addition, it was noticed that the use of the GeoGebra software kept the students attentive to the studies and stimulated their autonomy, in that it allowed the exploration of the same.A relação entre a informática e a educação matemática, segundo Borba e Penteado (2003) deve ser pensada como transformação da própria prática educativa. Dessa forma a inserção das Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação (TIC) no contexto escolar apontam para um novo cenário educacional. Nesse contexto, apresentamos, neste trabalho, os resultados da aplicação do software GeoGebra no ensino de Matemática na Educação Básica. O experimento foi realizado por meio de uma oficina, com 25 estudantes de uma escola privada do interior do estado do Rio Grande do Sul. A respectiva oficina teve por objetivo reforçar as propriedades e o cálculo de áreas de algumas figuras planas e também desenvolver o conhecimento de Probabilidade Geométrica. Evidenciou-se, neste trabalho, que a atividade com o software GeoGebra contribuiu para os estudantes reforçarem as propriedades das figuras planas, bem como o cálculo da área das mesmas. Em consequência, isso contribuiu para o desenvolvimento da aprendizagem do conceito de Probabilidade Geométrica, uma vez que esta depende, em parte, da aprendizagem de Geometria Plana para sua compreensão. Além disso, percebeu-se que o uso do software GeoGebra manteve os estudantes atentos aos estudos e estimulou sua autonomia, na medida em que permitia a exploração do mesmo
