The purple sea urchin Paracentrotus lividus (Lamarck, 1816) has been harvested for decades in many areas over its distribution range, potentially leading to population collapse. Yet, the demography and population dynamics remained under-documented, specifically in Corsica. The purpose of this thesis is to acquire data that would help ensure the sustainable management of the sea urchin fishery. The present work is divided in two main parts.
