This thesis, based on experimentation and numerical modeling aims at a better understanding of the behaviour of reinforced concrete slabs equipped with shear reinforcements, by measuring the effect of stirrups on their shear strength. A bibliographical synthesis was first carried out to highlight the parameters acting on the shear stress through the results of previous work and studies such as the characteristic resistance of concrete in compression, the rate of longitudinal and transverse reinforcements, the shear to span ratio the size of the aggregates and the applying of an axial load.
