Privatisation is the challenge and we need to campaign strongly against it. We seem to lose sight of the fact that the loyal servants of apartheid are still feeding our elected comrade councillors with false information. These officials hide their incompetence in managing Local Government by proposing that privatisation is the route to alleviate poor services in Local Government. During the apartheid era, Local Government in advantaged areas rendered the best service! What is stopping democracy from rendering the best services now in the disadvantaged areas?We must be vigilant and be prepared to go a little further in providing services to the disadvantaged community.
