Endocrine disrupting compounds (EDCs) are a wide group of contaminants of emerging concern known to be harmful for organisms. The aim of the study was to assess the occurrence and distribution of six EDCs (estrone\ue2\u80\u94E1, \uc3\u9f-estradiol\ue2\u80\u94E2, 17\uce\ub1-ethinylestradiol\ue2\u80\u94EE2, bisphenol A\ue2\u80\u94BPA, perfluooctanoic acid\ue2\u80\u94PFOA, perfluorooctane sulfonate\ue2\u80\u94PFOS) in the Apenninic rivers and groundwaters of the Romagna area (North of Italy).
