The excavations at Kiš, carried out between 1923 and 1933 by the joint Anglo-American Expedition of the University of Oxford and the Field Museum of Chicago, brought to light a tremendous amount of objects as well as settlement phases on a wide chronological range. The investigations revealed the 3rd millennium BC as the most flourishing period of the site, a datum confirmed by the results obtained especially at Tell Ingharra. The aim of the study is to propose a new reconstruction of the archaeological sequence and to understand the urban and architectural layouts on Tell Ingharra during the Early Dynastic period, focusing on the Y sounding where the best sequence of this period was unearthed.
