Welcome to the COMPSAC 2015 Inaugurating Symposium on Mobile, Wearable and Ubiquitous Computing (MOWU). Riding on the recent rapidly growing trend in making processing/data mobile and cloud-based, MOWU is focused on recent advances in wireless communications and the proliferation of powerful mobile devices that have enabled a wide range of mobile services, everywhere and anytime. The symposium echoes the main theme of COMPSAC 2015 on “Mobile and Cloud Systems – Challenges and Applications”, addressing challenges in emerging application domains such as connected health, wearable computing, Internet of things, cyber-physical systems, and smart planet.
