Tackling neurodegeneration with multi-target and theranostic small molecules

Neurodegeneration is the common denominator of hundreds of different disorders, collectively called “neurodegenerative diseases.” Scientific and public attention has focused on just a few of these, most notably Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Many others have essentially been neglected, including a group of rare diseases collectively known as prion diseases
