The essay explore the correlations between the historical-construction study of the building, the causes of the static disturbance and the real kinematic collapse mechanisms. There appears to be a cultural rift between theoretical assumptions and analysis methods due to the generic approach of technicians, based more on flexibly-structured methodologies than on research into the historical-construction fact. The related studies should be extended to the consolidation project, to define the relations between vertical stratigraphic reading, evolutionary process of the building and seismic chronology.
