Sistema degli interessi e sistema mediatico in Italia attraverso un'indagine sulla stampa nazionale (1992-2013)

A growing number of Italian political scientists has recently rediscovered the analysis of interest groups. Nevertheless, the Italian case is nearly away from comparative research, and the most recent policy studies focus only on sector-based aspects: in other words, to the best of our knowledge, there is still no systematic empirical analyses of the Italian ‘Interest Group System’ (IGS) as a whole. Thus, in this work we fall back upon the concept of IGS to describe the Italian case: firstly, we derive from the most important literature its fundamental characteristics; secondly, we test them through an empirical analysis on national press between 1992 and 2013. Our hypotheses deal with the very high level of concentration of the Italian IGS (with a predominant weight by labour unions and business groups), its diachronic trend to a slowly growing pluralism, and political parallelism between different group types and distinct newspapers.Il concetto di sistema di interessi viene ripreso in questo contributo per fornire una descrizione del caso italiano, dapprima delineandone le caratteristiche quindi verificando alcuni elementi distintivi attraverso l'indagine empirica, svolta sui più importanti quotidiani nazionali coprendo gli ultimi due decenni (1992-2013).
