Summary of the Invention The inventors have devised adhesive systems which have improved characteristics relative to known adhesive systems. For example, the adhesive systems may retain their bond strength for a longer period of time relative to known adhesive systems. In other words, the bond strength does not degrade as quickly due to remineralization/protection of the hybrid layer. Further, some of the adhesive systems may also provide increased bond strength. The improved characteristics of the adhesive systems are brought about by incorporating additives into the adhesive systems.
