The MEG II upgrade is designed to improve the sensitivity to the + ⎬e+decay by an order of magnitude. The detector is invested by a flux of accelerator induced non-thermal neutrons. Furthermore, a calibration based on pion charge exchange produces an additional flux of neutrons. We study the effect of non-thermal neutrons on the SiliconPhotoMultipliers used for reading out the Timing Counter. The SiPMs are irradiated at different fluences with a non critical reactor based at the University of Pavia and the results are reported
