During the year 2000, systematic collections of elasmobranchs, teleost fishes and invertebrates were performed off Bahia Magdalena, Baja California Sur, México (25°52'/25°12' N -113°24'/112°49'W). We are reporting the caught of the sixgill shark Hexanchus griseus (Bonnaterre), which constitutes the first record southward Bahia de Todos Santos, Baja California, México. All fish speci¬mens caught during the survey, have been deposited in the Ichthyological Collection (CI) of the Centro Interdisciplinario de Ciencias Marinas (CICIMAR-IPN) at La Paz, Baja California Sur, México
