The borderline personality disorder (BPD) is characterized by a severe pattern of instability in emotional regulation, interpersonal relationships, identity and impulse control. These functions are related to the prefrontal cortex (PFC), and since PFC shows arichanatomicalconnectivitywiththecerebellum,thefunctionalityofthecerebellar-PFC axis may impact on BPD.
