Bringing Capital Back In: A Materialist Turn in Postcolonial Studies?

The article discusses the ways in which cultural and postcolonial studies have dealt with capitalism over the last three decades. While in a first phase the contribution of these studies to challenge traditional views of capitalism has been outstanding, the author contends that in recent years capital has rather disappeared from their radars.
