Academic system reform: what role for physiotherapy?

none1noThe Italian Academic system is changing in favour of a European model, in which all subjects will be common to all sanitary professions. At present, the sanitary professions include six specific subjects, but this will not probably be possible in the new context. In this article, we try to explain why saving the physical therapy culture would be important within the contents of all the sciences, rather than having a specific subject called, for example, “Rehabilitative Sciences”. We need to provide a scientific basis following the rules of the world scientific community. For this reason, we have to improve our scientific productivity with new research projects and publications, particularly in Journals with high Impact Factor.
