none6In this paper we propose a novel architecture for the control plane of an application aware Optical Burst Switching (OBS) network, able to support GRID computing applications. We suggest the use of the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) to implement a protocol layer between the GRID specific control messages and the network control plane.
