Active geomorphosite and educational application: an itinerary along Trebbia River (Northern Apennines, Italy).

The active geomorphosites, that are the sites in which the modelling processes of Earth surface are still dynamic, are by now recognized to be of high didactic interest. The representativeness of the landforms and related genetic processes are in such contexts well evident but the contemporary possibility of creating itineraries differentiated on the base of the audience is not always applicable. In certain contexts the difficulty of the topic suggest an application addressed to university students that acquired a background knowledge during their studies, in other cases it is possible to create a didactic opportunities open to all kind of audience. The Trebbia River represent a potential multitasking itinerary along which differentiate the approaches in function of the audience. In this sense it has been created an itinerary to be proposed to a secondary school. It has been articulated in 5 stops suitable for the comprehension of the modifications of the landforms and processes along the river. The stops have been studied in order to link the geological-geomorphological aspect to the botanic aspect and human settlements. Some cards have been prepared in order to guide to the landscape reading on the field. The itinerary had been preceded by a cycle of frontal lessons regarding the different topics (plate tectonics and rock identification, fluvial morphologies, dendrochronology application in a fluvial context), during which some applicative exercises have been proposed to students. So the itinerary has been thought as a prosecution of the work done in the classroom, on the field. The test executed at the end of the experience witness the importance of the fieldwork in order to fix all the ideas already acquired during the frontal lessons. Finally the students demonstrated to appreciate the possibility of having a look at a process on-going like the erosion - deposition development on a fluvial bar and touching by hand the product of this processe
