As far as the dynamics of higher education in Italy are concerned, the main recent event has been – and largely continue to be – the approval and the implementation of the University Reform in the frame of the Bologna Process. The Reform started in 2001, and has completely changed the previous structure of higher education studies. As a consequence, an effort to understand possible changes in the relationship between higher education and the world of work after the Reform is needed. In this paper, the differences between the “old” system and the “new” system will be briefly sketched, some aspects of graduates’ employment and work before and after the Reform will be presented, and some relevant problems will be pointed out
