Abstract: The study aimed at highlighting differences in mother-infant interaction and relationship 3 months after birth between postnatally depressed women and not depressed women. 234 women were assessed at home by EPDS (Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale), the Clinical Scale of the Mother-child Relationship, and Indicators of Early Disturbances in the Mother-child Relationship. 14.10% of women were depressed. Differences between depressed and not depressed women have been detected with regards to: difficulties in feeding the infant, excessive crying of the infant, inability of the mother to carry the infant in her arms, poor verbal relationship, compromised and pathological visual interactions, altered corporal and smiling exchanges. ...
