The aim of this article is to describe some of the labor, immigration and social impacts that appear to be associated with the change in the migration pattern in one of the historical regions of Mexico-US migration. The impacts of current immigration status is an emerging topic in research due to the undoubted increase in the number of returning migrants and the significant decrease in outflows. The hypothesis is that given the demographic transition and change in the cost-benefit of undocumented migration, this has been greatly reduced, a situation seen since 2005 that has forced the generation born from 1900 to remain in Mexico, which has led to unprecedented scenes in labor, immigration and social dynamics of the region.
