Furthermore, when such systems are employed for real-time (RT) critical applications, both support for satisfying stringent RT guarantees and attaining a high level of reliability must be provided. The Flexible Time-Triggered (FTT) communication paradigm provides support for changing real-time traffic requirements in adaptive RT DESs, i.e., it provides RT flexibility.
