Coronary artery disease (CAD) is the leading cause of mortality among diabetic patients, and the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) has recently emerged from among inflammatory parameters as a potential indicator of vascular complications and poorer outcome in patients with diabetes.
