Water mass hydrological parameters, plankton species composition and abundance influence on the bioluminescence field amplitude characteristics spatial changeability along 20° west in the Atlantic ocean has been investigated. It was shown that vertical distribution of bioluminescence field intensity correlated with abundance of phyto- and zooplankton, distribution of which was caused by biogenic elements concentration and vertical structureness of the main hydrophysical characteristics.
