Cytoplasm, Skeleton and Symbionts of the Genus Periarachnium (Sarcodina, Nassellaria) in the Indian Ocean

The structure of cytoplasmic body, skeleton and symbionts have been described for Periarachnium myxobrachia, P. venosum, and P. periplectum on the materials from the nearequatorial regions of the Indian Ocean. All these species are characterized by a large jelly body surrounding the skeletal lattice with endocytoplasm. The animals contain a large number of zooxantellae, including extremely large ones (up to 0.07—0.15 mm in length). The symbiont chlorophyll content was estimated (0.023—0.027 µg per individual).На материале из приэкваториальных районов Индийского океана дано описание строения цитоплазматического тела, скелета и симбионтов трех видов насселлярий Periarachnium (P. myxobrachia, P. venosum, P. periplectum). Для всех видов характерно крупное студенистое тело, окружающее скелетную решетку с эндоцитоплазмой. Животные содержат множество зооксантелл, в том числе необычно крупных (до 0,07—0,15 мм длиной). Определено содержание хлорофилла симбионтов (0,023—0,028 мкг на особь насселлярий)
